3. RETAIL BOX

5. LID SWOOSH
The lid has the words "Nike Swoosh" varnished onto it. Make sure the varnishing has sharp clear edges, and that the typeface used is correct.
6. SIDE SHOEBOX
The side of Nike Off-White boxes will have the words Off-White TM c/o Nike "Shoebox" Beaverton, Oregon USA c. 2017 printed in black. Make sure the printing is solid and sharp, make sure the typeface used is correct. Note how the "r" and "t" of Beaverton are touching.
7. BOX CONSTRUCTION
Nike Off-White Air Prestos come in an inside out retail box, make sure the lid and side panels double over back into the box to create structural strength. Note how the top of this fold is square as opposed to being rounded. Check that the lid section that folds back into the box is attached with two small glued down tabs. Also note how the side walls, when viewed from the inside of the box, have a locking system that does not require any gluing. The folded over side panels have tabs that stick right through holes cut into the sides.
8. DATE CODE
Most, not all, Nike retail boxes feature a date code stamped inside the box.
Nike Off-White Air Prestos come with wrapping to protect the shoes. There are two layers of paper, the top layer has images and text printed on it, the bottom layer is plain white. Make sure the printing is solid and clear, make sure that the printing is two colours, black and pale green.
10. YCM STICKER
The inside of the retail box will have a YCM logo sticker. Make sure the printing is sharp, look for the tiny registered R next to the M. Make sure the sticker is semi see through. Tip: YCM is the company that produces sustainable packaging for companies like Nike.
11. SIDE PROFILE
The side profile of the Nike Off-White Air Prestos demonstrates the full curve of the shoe, note where the heel slants up just behind the small holes drilled into the midsole. The toe starts to curve up halfway through the forefoot. Make sure the tongue stands up much higher than the collar.
Make sure there is a strip of clear tape covering the stitchline join above the Achilles heel Tip: check the join between the TPU heel counter and rubber midsole is an even straight line and does not have any excess glue showing.
13. MADE IN TAG
There will be a Made in China swing tag hanging from both shoes. Make sure the printing is solid and sharp, check that the typeface used is correct. Note how the tail of the Q sticks up into the center of the Q as well. Check that the cardboard tag is stiff and flat. Make sure the tag is joined to the shoe with a clear locking cord
14. OFF WHITE TAG
Nike Off-White sneakers come with a thick red, plastic zip tie. The zip tie will have Off-White TM c/o Nike c. 2017 Zip Tie printed in tiny white dots on it. Make sure the typeface is correct, note how the TM is printed in much smaller white dots. Make sure the corners of the tag are rounded, look for the round dots debossed into the plastic on either side of the locking mechanism.
15. HEEL TAB
High quality stitching can be hard to replicate. Check carefully that the stitching on the heel TPU (clear) panel is tight, straight, evenly spaced and follows the edge of the panel evenly. Check that the heel tab holding the heel strap in place has a line of zigzag stitching across the bottom, leaving enough space for a small loop in the tab below the stitching. Very important, make sure there is a faint Air logo printed on the upper under the semi opaque TPU heel panel, you can just make out the letters AIR under the heel tab, it's hard to see but it is there.
16. AIR LOGO
The heel strap has an AIR logo printed in white on it. Make sure the printing is a slightly thick gel and not just flat white ink. Check that the typeface used is correct, the tail end of the R has a slight curve to it.
17. AIR STRAP
The Heel strap has a small leather tab at the end with a Swoosh logo debossed into it. Check that the Swoosh is sharp and clear, make sure there is a short stitchline (just two stitches) at the top and bottom of this leather tab, holding it closed.
18. STRAP VELCRO
If you fold the heel strap back you will see the Velcro patch holding the strap in place. Make sure the patch is cut at a slant to fit the shape of the TPU heel cage.
Nike Off-White Air Prestos come with high quality woven tubular laces with the words "Shoelaces" printed onto them. Make sure the letters are not flaking off and that the typeface used is correct. Check that the lace tips are sealed in a clear plastic cap.
20. SPARE LACES
Nike Off-White Air Prestos come with a set of three spare laces which are orange, green and black, each with the same lettering.

23. TONGUE PRESTO
Nike Off-White Air Prestos have a clear plastic logo on the tongue. The logo has the letter P with a Swoosh. Look for the fine stitching around the edge of the logo patch. Make sure the stitching is tight, neat and evenly spaced. Note how the logo is molded into the back of the patch so that the top surface is flat.

25. TPU CAGE
Nike Off-White Air Prestos have a TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) lace cage which provides locked down support to your foot. Make sure all the edges of the lace cage are slightly rounded so as to not damage the soft upper fabric. Take note of the elongated holes between each of the ribs, make sure the middle hole has two sections. Tip: Make sure the long flex grooves continue down to the midsole between each of these rib sections.
26. TPU SWOOSH
The TPU lace cage will have an embossed Swoosh logo on the instep side, just over the midsole. Make sure the Swoosh has a rounded top profile and clean sharp edges. Also note how the TPU lace cage follows the curved shape of the midsole.
27. PRESTO LOGO
Nike Off-White Air Prestos have a Presto logo debossed into the lace cage plastic. Check that the debossing quality is high, the edges of the letters should be slightly rounded but well defined. Make sure the typeface used is correct. Tip: Look for the tiny Swoosh logo between the E and the S.
28. TPU DETAIL
If you fold the lace cage back where the Presto logo is located and look behind the logo you will notice the letters are actually debossed deep enough to show at the back. This is also a good opportunity to test the flexibility of the TPU lace cage, make sure it can bend completely back with relative ease.
29. OUTSTEP SWOOSH
The upper will have an oversized Swoosh stitched onto the outstep side. Make sure the zigzag stitching is uneven. Note how the Swoosh material has fine vertical lines in it and a glittering shine when it catches the light.
30. INSTEP TYPE
The instep of the upper will have the words Off-White TM for Nike "Nike Air Presto" Beaverton, Oregon USA c. 2000 printed in white. Make sure the printing is semi transparent showing the fabric underneath. Check that the typeface used is correct, note how the r and t of Beaverton are touching.
31. INSIDE LABEL
Inside label details vary depending on year, country of manufacture and style. Check the style number, usually 9 digits, matches that found on the box. Check that the tail of the Q in FABRIQUE starts inside the circle. Check for any spelling errors and that the glue area is uniform and neat. The shoe's production date will fall between the two dates indicated on the label. Tip: Do a Google image search for "Nike"+"style number" to check the colourway.
32. SOCKLINER LOGO
Nike Off-White Air Prestos will have a The Ten and an Off-White logo printed onto the sockliner in black and white. Make sure the printing is solid and sharp and not rubbing off anywhere if the shoes are new. Make sure the words The Ten and the Off-White logo are printed in black ink and not simply knocked out of the white.
The forefoot of the sockliner will have tiny pyramid shaped bumps in it that start off small on the edges and become larger towards the middle. Make sure the pyramids have straight edges and are clear and obvious. Also note the cut out bumps on the edge of the sockliner right about where your big toe would be. Make sure these bumps are slightly rounded. Make sure the sockliners have a foam base for added impact absorption and comfort.
If you lift the sockliner up you will see the insole stitching joining the insole to the upper. Make sure the stitching is neat and evenly spaced. Make sure there is a positioning hole drilled into the center of the heel.
35. INSOLE FOREFOOT
Nike Off-White Air Prestos have a supportive patch inside at the toe to help keep the toebox from collapsing. You will see the patch if you remove the sockliner. Also note the positioning hole drilled into the center of the forefoot. Also take note of the stitching joining the insole to the upper, make sure it is tight, neat and evenly spaced.
36. MIDSOLE SWOOSH
There is a large Swoosh logo molded into the midsole, make sure the edges are clean and straight. Check that the tips of the logo are slightly rounded. Also look for the small round pinhead sized bump at the end of the Swoosh, molded into the midsole. This is a good opportunity to have a close up look at the fine texture in the midsole.
Nike Off-White Air Prestos have a waffle pattern rubber outsole with strategically placed heel pods for traction and durability. Make sure the tread is not worn out if the shoes are new.
38. AIR LOGO
On the heel of the outsole is an Air logo embossed into the rubber. Make sure the typeface used is correct and that the letters should have sharp edges. Also check that there are tiny pinhead sized bumps on the tips of each of the letters.
