3. RETAIL BOX
Adidas Yeezy Boost 500 sneakers come in a sturdy, unprinted retail box, featuring a large 500 on the top. There should be no cracking or flaking of the material along the edges or folds of the box. Make sure the Boost is positioned in the center of the side panel. Remember real shoe boxes can accompany fake shoes.
4. BOX LABEL
Adidas shoe boxes feature a label on the one side detailing style name, size, color, country of manufacture and a style & PO number. Check all of these details carefully. Labels for different regions may look different. Make sure the typeface used is correct, look especially close at the tail of the Q in the word Fabrique. Tip 1: Check that the style (ART) and PO (#) numbers match those found on the label inside the shoe. Tip 2: scan the barcode (even a photo of one) with a barcode scanner app, the exact product including size should be correct.
5. BOX LOGOS
On the short side of the retail box are the words Yeezy 500 with Made by Adidas below that. The will also be a an Adidas Performance logo at the bottom. Check the quality of the printing, make sure the logos are solid with clean sharp edges. Also make sure the typefaces used are correct, pay specific attention to the diagonal bar through the 0 in 500. Make sure the logos are center aligned within the side panel. Look for the thumb tab to pull the box insert open, make sure it has a perforated edge and that it extends up slightly higher than the box insert.
6. PERFORMANCE LOGO
If you turn the box over you will see an Adidas Performance logo under the box. Yeezy Boost 500s are from the Adidas Performance range and not the Adidas Originals range like the Yeezy Boost 350s are. Check carefully that the logo is positioned centered at the base of the panel.
7. BOX MATERIAL
Adidas Yeezy Boost 500 retail boxes are made from corrugated cardboard. If you look closely at the thumb hole under the box you will see an area that is cut into the cardboard. Make sure there is a double layer of cardboard and that there is a slight gap between the two layers.
8. BOX CONSTRUCTION
The retail box will have well constructed supportive side walls to keep the box rigid and to improve protection. Check the structure of the folds, make sure that the top edges are square. The short sides of the box will be much thicker than the long sides. Check inside the box, take note of the large finger hole on the short side of the box, it will have a perforated fold to allow your finger in to pull the box open. If you lift up the insert from the bottom of the box you will see the interlocking base construction. Tip: The inner of the box is locked into the outer and the two halves cannot be separated easily without breaking the box.
Adidas Yeezy 500 Desert Rat Blush's have wrapping inside the box to protect the shoes. The wrapping is a dark cream colour and the paper itself is thick and rigid. There will only be one layer of wrapping.
10. SIDE PROFILE
Adidas Yeezy 500 Desert Rat Blush's have a distinctive side profile, take note of how the toebox and heel remain relatively flat on the floor. Check that the tongue stands up much higher than the back of the heel. Take note of how the area under the foot arch lifts up off the floor.
11. HEEL STITCHING
High quality stitching can be hard to replicate, the heel area of Yeezy Boost 500 is a good place to check that stitch quality. Make sure the stitching along the edges of the panels is tight, neat and evenly spaced and follows the edge of the panel perfectly.
12. REFLECTIVE PIPING
Adidas Yeezy 500 Desert Rat Blush's have a line of light reflective piping running all the way around the shoe, if you shine a light on the piping it will have a microscopic sparkle to it. Make sure this piping follows the wavy upper panel perfectly.
13. SWING TAG

Check that the typeface used is correct, make sure the swing tag has very rounded corners. Make sure the printing is solid and sharp. Some countries may have extra swing tags with barcode, model number and details from the box label. Check that the plastic cable joining the swing tag to the shoe is clear, note how the interlocking end is a tiny cone shaped tip.
14. PANEL EDGE
Adidas Yeezy 500 Desert Rat Blush's have rough suede patches on the upper. Check the last panel at the top of the shoe, the one with the top eyelet, note how the outer edge of this panel has a smooth printed edge under the stitching while the inner edge is just rough suede. Make sure the printed edge and stitching stops just above the eyelet where the suede joins the inner lining.
Look closely at the make up of the fabric upper, there are a number of small details to watch out for. The oval suede patches are very rough, almost like fur with a smooth printed edge under the stitching. Look at the woven mesh, under the holes you will notice whaat looks like hundreds of thin hairs.
If you fold the upper back you will notice the shape of the collar. Check that the padding at the back of the heel is thick and then becomes thin all of a sudden at the top eyelet.
Adidas Yeezy 500 Desert Rat Blush's have soft padded lining, note how the collar lining has a C shaped stitchline around the top eyelet. Make sure this top eyelet is a solid plastic insert. Check that the upper lining is well padded, you should notice thick bulges of padding between the stitchlines.
18. INSIDE LABEL (R)
Inside label details vary depending on year, country of manufacture and style. Look for the country of manufacture, shoe size, factory code (usually starts with 2-3 letters) and date of production (MM/YY). Make sure the style (ART) number and purchase order (#) number match the retail box label. Look for the tiny micro symbol within the Manufacturer "QR" code, it is on the right hand side, it looks like a tiny code within a code. What is important is this symbol is different on each shoe label, and being so tiny it is very hard to replicate. Lastly there will be a 13 digit Unique Security Number, make sure it is different on each shoe, the last 3 digits are usually different. Tip: Google search "Adidas"+"ART number" to check that the colourway is correct. Next to this inside label is a Yeezy logo printed onto a strip of clear tape. Make sure the Yeezy logo is not rubbing off and that the typeface used is correct.
19. INSIDE LABEL (L)
The second shoe label will be the same as the first shoe except for two things. Make sure the last 1-3 digits of the 13 digit Unique Security Number are different. Make sure the tiny symbol inside the manufacturer "QR" code is different on each label.

Make sure the stitching joining the pull tab to the tongue is tight, neat and follows the oval cuts outs perfectly.
21. TONGUE DETAIL
The top two corners of the mesh tongue will have transparent heat sealed lines embedded into the mesh, can you see them. These heat sealed lines will start at the top of the tongue, pressed into the mesh, then fade out and disappear as they go down.

The tongue is held down onto the insole with elasticated mesh straps to provided locked down comfort. Make sure these straps have neat stitching along the edge.

26. SOCKLINER SIZES
Under the sockliner there will be a size code embossed into the rough foam. Make sure the size matches the size of the label on the retail box and the label inside the shoe. Note how the sockliners often cover more than one shoe size, in this case both 8 and 9.
27. HEEL ADIDAS
Adidas Yeezy 500 Desert Rat Blush's will have an Adidas Performance logo debossed under the heel of the sockliner. Check the quality of the debossing, make sure the edges are sharp and clear. Make sure the typeface of the logo is correct. Tip: make sure the dot of the "i" in Adidas is joined to the second stripe. Take this opportunity to have a close up look at the fine bubble like texture of the Ortholite foam.
28. SOCKLINER PADS
One of the unusual features of these Yeezy 500s is the sockliners. The impact patches have a thin layer of red and yellow padding added on top of them. These extra layers of red and yellow on top of the main green foam have a much finer texture than the green.
