We’re back with the 22nd edition of Staff Pick Saturday, the bi-weekly series in which a Piff staff member selects their favorite items available in-store and online right now. Holding it down this week is Ben, our creative director, who as you’ll soon see has a penchant for black clothing. See something you like? Click right on the product image to head to the webpage and cop. Let’s descend into the darkness.
Piff Small Classic Logo Black Zip-Up
This black zip-up hoodie is easily my most-worn piece of clothing. I love the quality and fit, and it’s a great spring layering piece, because it looks fly both zipped and unzipped.
Pleasures Black Mark Of The Beast Hoodie
This Pleasures hoodie is just a super clean, well-designed piece. I love the balance of yin & yang, and the clash between thought/intuition on the back. You’ve really gotta take a look at this to realize how unique it is, and that’s why I’m so about it.
The Hundreds Black Out Denim (Skinny)
You’ve gotta have a good pair of black denim in your wardrobe, and this pair from The Hundreds is perfect for the warmer months, as it’s a 12.5 oz selvedge (not too light, not too heavy). Cop these and you won’t have to retire your black pants during the warmer months.
Air Jordan I Retro High OG Black “TEDXPORTLAND Perfect”
Why am I such a big fan of these, you ask? A few reasons. First off, the significance. I love TED Talks, and this shoe is a result of them dubbing the Jordan I the “Perfect Pair” of shoes (good way to get a collab, right?) Then, they’re stupid limited (only 230 pairs). Lastly? Not many people know about them. Talk about a top-notch lowkey flex.
The City Pack contains many of the best Jordan 10’s of all time, but the Sacramento joints are by far my favorite (just look at that pop of purple on the bottom!). It’s one of the most unique Jordan 10’s ever released, and it looks just as good now as it did all the way back in 1994.
